Abigail Glasser is a London-based actor, singer, writer and composer who makes and performs original musical theatre.

Driven by her obsessions with the internet, archetypal mythology and femininity, Abigail creates playful and provocative musical theatre which speaks to her post-internet generation. Her writing is equal parts sincere and irreverent, punctuated with catchy songs and performed with an often darkly humorous edge. How’s My Fringe Podcast have described her as “one talented cookie”.

Abigail graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2019 where she studied Performance and Creative Enterprise, a unique training which emphasised collaborative and socially engaged practice. She has performed at the The Young Vic, Barbican, Etcetera Theatre, Bread and Roses Theatre, Katzpace, and the Museum of London as well as Brainchild and Latitude festivals.

Her solo musical Cookie Consent (currently in development) about growing up and falling in love online in the 2010s is “hyper-relevant, uber-relatable” (Haylee McGee). Her first original musical DIVINE, which was showcased by the Barbican for her graduation in 2019, was an exploration of feminine archetypes and Goddesses set in a modern day nightclub loo. She also composed the music for a new musical about the Beat Poetry movement, You’ll Be Okay, which was workshopped in Autumn 2020.

Abigail also facilitates and writes for youth theatre Company Three, based in Islington. She is passionate about working with young people and regularly shares her practice through workshops in primary and secondary schools.
